CREATIVE PROJECT
•I will attempt to focus on the politics of water activism and how the legislator has or can get involved in ensuring the quality and quantity of our water. This will deal with what has been done, is being done, and will be done.

•The tract of land that the Bronx River lies on was purchased by Jonas Bronckin 1631, hence the name “Bronck’sRiver.” This tract of land was between Harlem River and “Bronck’sRiver.”
•The Native Americans called it Aquehung.

•Urban runoff pollution is a major problem for the river. State agencies, non-profits, and citizen groups have developed watershed management plans to reduce storm water pollution and improve water quality.
